I’m a licensed physical therapist, dedicated runner, and proud New Yorker devoted to helping you reclaim your active life.
You deserve dedicated and focused treatment, so unlike other clinics where the therapist may juggle other patients during your appointment, each hour-long session will be one-on-one and completely focused on your personal care. This will ultimately lead to quicker results and the need for less visits.
We begin with a comprehensive initial assessment. By listening to your unique story, I can better understand your situation. My goal is to look at it from a holistic perspective, including but not limited to your experience with movement, your resources and environment, your habits and motivations, your emotional and mental health, and finally your goals and desires. We then create a customized treatment plan, influenced by my extensive clinical experience, and guided by science. Your program will include a digital home exercise program and all the necessary resources to make sure you stay on track.
By receiving attentive care, you can expect long-lasting results instead of a quick fix. During your recovery process, you will gain the skills and confidence to take charge of your pain and injuries. This in turn will allow you to move more freely and optimize your sport performance. Ongoing feedback and monitoring will help to refine your movement skills and ultimately lead to independence in managing your situation.
I developed a terrible knee pain before the NYC marathon, which prevented me from running more than three miles. Most of the doctors I consulted recommended a cortisone injection to “fix” the pain. I decided to see Dominika instead. She not only diagnosed the core of the problem (which in fact was my hip), but also prescribed an exercise program to help me recover in more conservative and sustainable way. She is so knowledgeable. Her bedside manner is impeccable. She fixed my hip, strengthened my muscles, and helped me run with ease. I always left her studio like a "well-oiled machine". If not Dominika, I wouldn't be able to run the marathon, let alone finish it without struggling. She is so encouraging. If you have neck pain or chronic pain, you need to see Dominika. She’s levels above any other physical therapist I’ve ever had. I started seeing Dominika 16 months after injuring my neck. In that time, I’d tried tons of things to relieve my pain – medications, different types of injections, and even two other physical therapists. None of the medical professionals I saw except Dominika really knew how to help me. She took me from not being able to even sit or walk without pain to pain-free and running again in just six months! Dominika has a deep understanding of pain (even more than some pain doctors I saw) and is constantly reading and taking courses to keep up with the latest information and techniques. On top her talent and dedication, she cares about her patients, listens to your thoughts and concerns, and is just plain fun to be around.
My life changed thanks to Dominika. After a year of chronic pain and failed medical help due to two herniated discs, I was completely defeated. As a former runner and hiker, I could barely walk a block without having severe pain - pain that would linger in sedentary moments, sitting, or standing.
